EIT Health Germany is one of a total of eight EIT Health Innovation Hubs (RIHs) in Europe.
We are currently serving 26 leading companies and public health care institutions in Germany and Switzerland, as well as renowned universities and research institutions, to realise EIT Health’s mission of a public-private partnership. The aim is to jointly address the urgent health challenges of our time with concrete measures and programmes to open up new resources for established and young companies – and to realize their ideas in common products and services for the European market.

Together with leading university hospitals in Switzerland, the EPFL Biomolecular Screening Facility and with the support of the Novartis Research Foundation and the Swiss Working Group for Cystic Fibrosis, a first clinical pilot study is underway to determine treatment efficacies on organoids grown from Cystic Fibrosis patients. This will be the first demonstration that organoid-driven precision medicine is possible at the scale needed for clinical and pharmaceutical screenings.
